A Shopify app for product categories
Get every product in the right category.
Taxonpath reads your Shopify catalog and puts each product in a category from Shopify's own product taxonomy. You see the price before anything starts. You pay only for products that have no category yet. Anything it is not sure about waits for you to check.

How it works
Four steps, all inside your Shopify admin.
- Scan your catalog
- It reads your products and Shopify's category list, and shows what is missing. Scanning costs nothing.
- Choose what to sort
- Products with no category are listed and checked. Uncheck any you want to leave alone. Products that already have a category are left out.
- See the price, then start
- The price for the products you picked shows before you press Start. It reads the title, description, vendor, type, tags and options of each product.
- Review and publish
- Check the ones it was unsure about, then publish them to your catalog.

Suggest only, or fill in what it is sure of.
- Suggest categories for me to review
- Every pick waits for you. Nothing is written to your catalog until you publish it.
- Fill in categories automatically
- Only a pick with 85% confidence or more goes into your catalog, once the charge for the run goes through. Everything else waits for you. If nothing was sure enough, the app tells you so.

Fill in categories automatically
Products the app is sure about are filled in for you and written to your Shopify catalog once the charge for the run goes through, so they appear a little after the products are sorted. Anything it is less sure of still comes to you below.
5.69 USD for 999 products not sorted yet, at 0.0057 each.
Checking the work
You only check what it was unsure about.
Each product shows how sure the app is and the full category path. Use the category in one click, pick one of up to four other likely categories, or search the whole taxonomy. A product you skip keeps the category it has, and you are not charged for it again.

- Least sure first.
- The list opens on the pick the app is least sure about, so the first thing you look at is the thing most likely to be wrong.
- Check before it is written.
- Before you publish, see every product and the category it will get. Change any of them until it is in your catalog.
- Watch it land.
- Publishing runs in the background. The app shows how many products Shopify has written, and any it could not write.

Pricing
Pay per product sorted. See the price first.
Scanning your catalog is free. Each product the app sorts costs $0.0057, so a thousand products cost $5.70. Shopify bills it with your other apps, inside a spending limit you control.

-
Only products with no category.
A product you already put in a category is never quoted or charged.
-
Never twice for the same work.
A product the app already sorted is not charged again unless you edit its text. Neither is a product you skipped.
-
Nothing for a failure.
A product the app could not sort is not charged.
-
No surprises on the bill.
The price shows before you start. If it is more than your Shopify spending limit allows, the app tells you before anything runs.
